Do you own an event agency? Are you responsible for hiring talent for such a company?

If you want to achieve great success, you need to surround yourself with the best workforce. While some agencies know what it takes to find and hire the best talent, others continually fall short.

Where to Recruit New Employees

Hiring the best talent for an event agency is based primarily on knowing where to recruit new employees. When you spend your time and money on the right recruitment strategies, there is a better chance you will be happy with the end result.

Here are three ways to not only recruit new employees, but also those who are a perfect fit for your agency:

1. College Career Fairs

If experience isn’t the end all, college career fairs are a great place to begin your search. At these events, you can connect with ambitious college students looking for a start in your industry.

Tip: Students with targeted internship experience are often the best choice, as they already have some idea of how an event agency operates.

2. Business Networking Groups

Do you attend networking meetings in your local area? If so, and you need to hire new employees, now is the time to be proactive.

Don’t shy away from telling others that you are hiring and being direct with people who would make a good fit for a particular position. It never hurts to ask if somebody is interested in an opening. If they are currently working somewhere, give them your information so they have it if they ever are searching for a job in the future or know other good candidates. NEVER be afraid to network.

3. Ask for Referrals

Ask your current workers for referrals or reach out to vendors to see if they have anybody who would be a good fit for your agency. As long as you trust the person providing the referral, this is a great way to quickly and efficiently find top talent.

With these three tips in mind, you will find it easier to hire the best talent for your event agency.
