When you add the SMS source, you’ll notice that it says that it’s Pending. It will remain Pending until the wall is purchased. Once purchased you’ll get an email with the number so you can get it into your marketing materials.
Content sources are your way to tell us what to monitor for. For example, if you wanted to display posts from Twitter on your social wall, you would add the Twitter content source, and then configure the hashtags that you wanted us to monitor for.
Yes, SMS (otherwise known as text messages) and MMS (picture messages) are supported on our platform. We provide a “long” phone number for you to provide to your guests. Currently we support SMS in 17 countries (United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Switzerland). Picture messaging (MMS) is only available in the United States and Canada at this time. When enabling SMS we ask for the area code you want to use so that we can enable a number that is local to your event and that your guests will recognize. When you add an area code, that is all you’re doing—telling us what area code you want to use. If you are in a country that doesn’t support this option, we wont ask for the area code, just the country code.
Yes, all posts show inline with each other—SMS, Twitter, Instagram and any others you configure.
