4Q21: Web Form And Social Wall Upgrades, PWAs, Webex Integration
Published on December 28, 2021
We’re excited to share our final round of updates for 2021! This quarter, we focused on enhancing user experience across our platform with significant improvements to web forms, social wall designs, mobile accessibility, and overall performance. We’ve also added a brand new integration with Webex to give your virtual events even more engagement options.
Improved Web Form Functionality
Our web forms received several important upgrades this quarter to make audience participation even more seamless:
- Image-Only Submissions – Attendees can now share moments through images without requiring accompanying text
- Enhanced Throttling Notifications – Clearer error messaging when users attempt to post too frequently
- Customizable CTA Text – Display your personalized call-to-action text instead of the default “join the conversation” message (automatically pulls from your social wall design settings)
Social Wall Design Enhancements
We’ve refined the visual presentation of content on your social walls:
- Styling Improvements – Updated visual elements for a more polished look across all posts
- Content Display Options – Added support for hiding text content on image-focused services like Dropbox
- Layout Optimization – Enhanced arrangement options when displaying multiple posts for better visual hierarchy
Progressive Web App (PWA) Support
Making your social walls more accessible and reliable on mobile devices:
- Mobile-Optimized Experience – Initial PWA implementation provides app-like functionality when accessed on smartphones, tablets, or Chromebooks
- Offline Capabilities – Improved resilience during connectivity issues with better recovery when internet connection is restored
Performance Improvements
We’ve made your social walls faster and smoother than ever:
- Self-Hosted Font Library – Migrated to self-hosted fonts delivered through our CDNs for quicker loading times
- JavaScript Optimization – Streamlined code for more fluid post cycling and animations, creating a smoother viewing experience
Webex Integration
Our newest platform integration brings Everwall Social Walls into Webex, and content from Webex Spaces into Everwall. These additional changes continue our partnership with Webex and bring a better experience overall:
- Dedicated Webex Layout – Custom-designed display specifically optimized for Webex environments
- Dynamic Theme Switching – Automatically adapts to Webex app settings when displaying an Everwall Social Wall within the platform
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing event professionals with powerful, flexible tools to increase audience engagement. We look forward to seeing how you’ll use these new features in your upcoming events!

Today we’re excited to release a major update to the Stats we offer on all social walls. Not only is it faster at displaying the charts and data, it offers a ton more details you’ve been asking for, like being able to display hourly data when looking at a single day, showing the number of unique participants, and seeing which content sources (Twitter, Instagram, etc) are being used. In addition to those new data points, we’re also exciting to be showing you the languages your posts are written in. This is something that’s been in the works for well over […]
We’re excited to release a new layout that we’re calling the Multi-column Waterfall. The new layout allows you to have between four and eight columns (seven if showing a leaderboard, poll, etc) and the posts come in at the top, and get pushed off the bottom.
