How to Prevent Reposts (Retweets) & Replies From Showing

Last updated on June 26th, 2025

Managing Content

Reposts (originally called Retweets) and Replies can often flood your social wall with repetitive content, making it harder for original posts to stand out. If you’d like to maintain a cleaner and more curated display, you have the option to block them from appearing on your social wall.

There are two ways to change the setting to remove retweets/reposts:

  1. When setting up X (Twitter) or Bluesky as your content source
  2. From the Overview page on the dashboard

This guide will walk you through the steps to prevent reposted/retweeted content from being shown.

How to Block Reposts (Retweets) & Replies During Initial Setup

For X (Twitter)

When setting up X (Twitter) as your content source, a window will appear to set the X-specific settings. You will have an option to block Retweets from appearing on your social wall. We highly recommend using this option. If you enable the blocking of Retweets, and you are using the Engagement Leaderboard, we recommend checking the box to still count retweets in statistics and on leaderboards. If you are not using the Engagement Leaderboard, then leave this unchecked.

Note: For most events, we recommend using the Interactions leaderboard, so this should be unchecked for most events.

For Bluesky

You can optionally remove Replies and/or Reposts from appearing on your social wall. If you enable the blocking of Replies or Reposts, and are using the Engagement Leaderboard, we recommend you check the box to still count the them in stats and on leaderboards. If you are not using the Engagement Leaderboard, then leave the checkbox unchecked.

Note: For most events we recommend using the Interactions leaderboard, so this should be unchecked for most events.

Step 4: Click the Save button to save the settings.

Important Note: When you make this change, we will not remove the current replies/reposts that are already displaying on your wall. If you want them gone, go to the posts page, and then block them.
