How to Use Keyboard Shortcuts for Managing Posts
As you moderate posts, there are various methods to manage posts faster by using keyboard shortcuts rather than clicking the post.
The top post in the list of posts is always “selected.” You can also tell which post is selected because the buttons will be showing and be solid in color (hovering over other posts gives you buttons that are not solid, but have a white background instead). Keyboard shortcuts work only with the top post and allow you to approve the post, deny/block the post, stash the post, or bring up the edit screen to edit the captions, manage the pinning status, or add tags to the post.
Below are the keyboard shortcuts you can use while moderating posts.
Key | Action |
---|---|
A | Approve the post |
S | Stash the post |
D | Deny/Block the post |
E | Open the edit post screen |
You can also work with multiple posts at a time by either clicking the checkbox next to each post, or using the below multi-select keyboard shortcuts. Below are the keyboard shortcuts you can use to work with multiple posts.
Key | Action |
---|---|
X | Select All Posts |
Z | Deselect All Posts |
I | Invert Selection |
X+A | Quickly approve all 20 posts assigned to you |
X+D | Quickly deny/block all 20 posts assigned to you |
If you prefer using your mouse instead, you can use the Multi Menu (on the right side of the page) to Select All Posts, Unselect All Posts, or Invert Post Selection. You can also just click the check box next to the posts. Please see our tutorial on Using Bulk Tools For Post Management.
