What web browser do I need to use?

You can use any modern, standards-compliant browser to display your Tweetwall. We highly recommend Google Chrome, but have also tested it with Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge. We do not currently support any version of Internet Explorer. Additionally, we highly recommend using one of our apps to display your wall if your platform is supported instead of a browser, since they’ll take care of making sure your computer doesn’t go to sleep, your mouse is hidden and that it’s shown in full screen.

How do I make the wall full screen so I can’t see the web browser?

If you are on a PC, hit the F11 key on your keyboard. If you are on a Mac, hit Shift+Command+F simultaneously. This should work for most common browsers, however, only Google Chrome currently hides the entire browser (Safari, Firefox and other typically leave the address bar).…

Do I need to install anything to display my social wall?

No, you don’t need to install anything to display your social wall, except for a web browser. Any modern web browser should work fine, though we highly recommend using Google Chrome (it makes it really easy to hide the address bar so your social wall takes up the entire screen).

If you’re comfortable installing software, we also provide a few dedicated apps for displaying your social wall. The advantage to using one of them is that they prevent your computer from going to sleep, will hide the mouse, and automatically will display the wall in full screen.

Do you have any recommended hardware?

We do not make any specific equipment recommendations for what hardware to use because every event’s need are different, but we do have a few general guidelines for the hardware:

• If using a flat screen display, try to use one that is either a 4k resolution (3840×2160) or 1080p resolution (1920×1080) resolution. A 720p display is acceptable, but 4k is preferred because the social wall will be more crisp and clean. No matter which of these resolutions you use, they all have a 16:9 aspect ratio, and our social walls will scale for that aspect ratio. If doing portrait (9:16), we have a few designs for that as well.
• If using a projector, try to get as close to 4k or 1080p as possible. A projector using 1024×768 (sometimes called Full HD) is likely to appear blurry if projected to a large size. No matter what resolution you use, the wall will scale automatically.
• Use a laptop or computer with and HDMI port, and connect to the TV or projector using it.
• Our social walls are essentially just web pages that get shown on the screen, so you’ll also want to use a browser to show it, and for that we usually recommend Google Chrome since it makes it easy to hide the address bar.
